Custom Fitting

Each of us is unique. No one shares your precise body structure, your biomechanics, your injury history or your ambitions. Therefore, your search for “the perfect running shoe” is never a one-size-fits-all answer, and neither is our approach.

The fitting procedure may take some time but it is free, you need no appointment and you are never rushed.

We want to get this right so that your fitness will continue and you will think of us for your next shoe purchase. Below is a summary of our fitting process.

Step One:
We meet you and explain our fitting process.

Step Two:
We consider the following in making a recommendation:

• The wear pattern on your old shoes
• Your feet, legs and weight
• Your injury history
• Your running style
• Your running habits
• Your favorite color—just kidding!!!
• Your goals and plans 

Step Three:
We measure each foot while standing and sitting to help determine the proper size.

Stop Four:
(The extra step) We watch you walk and run in your old shoes or in a pair of neutral shoes from our stock. Also we use a video camera so we can see in slow motion your running biometrics.

Step Five:
We bring out the shoes we think are best for your foot, and, if needed, film you in the new shoe.

Step Six:
Decisions, decisions, decisions! We will give you our recommendations but the choice is yours.

Step Seven:
On your mark! Now that you’ve made your choice, we will answer any questions you have about your new shoes.
